Diego Álvarez obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1993, and his PhD in Mathematical Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2001. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UC3M. His interests cover various areas of Applied Mathematics, such as modeling, inverse problems, numerical solution of partial differential equations, image processing, etc.
