Pedro José Hernando Oter obtained his batchelor degree in Chemistry at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1991 through a collaboration scholarship in the Department of Chemical Engineering, and was awarded a scholarship by the Fundación Empresa Pública in 1992 in the group company TENEO Minas de Almagrera, S.A. In 1993 he began his doctoral studies in the Mathematical Engineering program at UC3M, obtaining an Argentaria doctoral fellowship from 1994-1996. He obtained his PhD in Mathematical Engineering in 2001. Since then he has served first as an Assistant Professor, and currently as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics. He has published some papers on asymptotic methods in semiconductor theory and has participated in several national and international research projects.
